Normally it’s about showering the women in your lives with gifts, making them feel exceptional and taking that amazingly beautiful lady out to dinner or on that special romantic walk.

But it’s not just about making the women look and feel fantastic, you have to look good too!

You can’t stand next to a gorgeous girl and not put any effort in for yourself.

So here at Suitsmen, we have done the searching for you and found items for every occasion. Whether you go for a completely kitted out romantic dinner, or something more casual, we’ve even covered that lovely romantic walk!

So you’re going all out…

Fancy restaurant, presents, romantic looks at each other. The entire evening is going to be perfect, so the same should go for your outfit and we believe the Skopes Chatsworth Dinner Suit is the best suit for the job.

With the satin stripe on the trousers, and worn with a wing collar shirt and bow tie, you can even wear a cummerbund. This suit will have you looking just as fantastic as your partner.

Add to this our large collection of dinner suit accessories and you will look the best you can.

Not up to the Glitz and Glam…

Don’t worry, if the bow tie and accessories isn’t for you we have got a more casual suit, that still gives the crisp, clean and extremely sophisticated look.

The Skopes grey mohair suit has flat front trousers and a 2 button jacket. Very smart and perfect for special occasions, wearing with a classic shirt and tie, you will definitely look the part.

Just a shirt…

Now if a suit isn’t for you and you prefer a smart shirt, we have chosen a couple out which we believe are perfect for these occasions. For the pinstripe look our Disley Fine Stripe shirts in blue or lilac will have you looking smart with that little bit extra from the colours available.

For something more plain, we have a wide collection of colours from Rael Brooks plain shirts, with a classic collar and colours ranging from bolds to pastels we have a shirt to suit you. (And the occasion)

Now of course you can’t just go out in a shirt…..

And if you don’t want to wear a suit the perfect alternative is one of our blazers.

The Otley Single Breasted Blazer by Brook Tavener, still has the smart and sophisticated look whilst letting you stay casual and comfortable.

But if you want something less suit like, try the Brook Taverner Salisbury Wool Jacket, with a more casual and country effect this jacket is perfect for wearing over a shirt, allowing you to look smart but be completely comfortable.

100% Wool

To really treat yourself and still look fantastic try the 100% Cologne Wool Blazer from Douglas and Grahame.

The aspect of buying something without being able to handle it, feel the material, try it on for size and get different opinions puts many off buying clothing off the internet.

Especially if it’s an expensive suit.

Gadgets and advice have been put onto websites to ensure that customers can where possible buy the right size.

But sometimes a chart or estimated size doesn’t help that much at all.

There could be ‘Virtual Fitting Rooms’. Where you can see a model in ‘your’ size wearing the clothes to help you imagine what it would look like. You could even put up a picture of yourself.

But these can be complicated and frustrating if they won’t load on your computer. They are also very expensive for the company to run.

Now, putting in your size is easy enough, with the information on ‘how to’. But sometimes people do idealize their shape, pulling in their stomach when measuring around the waist. This only means the suit jacket may be tight when you finally get it.

Or standing up broad and tall when normally you have a slight slouch, this could lead to the wrong size being ordered and therefore an ill-fitting suit.

Here at suitsmen, we have clear size charts with our products telling you the back length, arm lengths and various other lengths of the items you are looking at. As well as diagrams to help you visualise what to do.

We also clearly state how to and where to measure these lengths from, so you can do it yourself at home, and all you would need is a tape measure.

Not only that, but our system also saves the sizes you have ordered. So next time when you log on, if you ordered a 44” Regular jacket and 40” Regular (31”) length trousers, then these would be highlighted for you on the products you choose.

And if you still don’t understand, or don’t know which to choose, you can just give us a call on 01335 361287 and we will help you pick the perfect size.

Our FREE delivery and FREE returns also means it doesn’t cost you anything if the suit or item is not right. (Within the UK)

For any more information or advice call 01335 361287, or email support@suitsmen.co.uk and we will help in any way we can.

Don’t forget to visit our Facebook page for more advice and suit information, or our website: www.suitsmen.co.uk, as well as our other blog entries.

Looking smart usually comes at a price (and it’s not always to do with your wallet.)

As the colder weather draws in, the want for layers increases. But just chucking another t-shirt on under your shirt is never really an option. It ruffles up under your shirt, or it doesn’t look or feel right.

So here is your help for finding those extra layers and different items of clothing to help you stay warm whilst keeping your sharp, sophisticated look.

Now it all begins with what’s underneath.

Suitsmen have a range of underwear, which also includes the Wolsey Classic Therrmal Underwear. Available in the natural colour, they have mock interlocked fabric and are brushed inside to trap air and retain heat.

To match the Classic Long Johns, we also have the t-shirts and vests.

Matching the Long Johns, the Wolsey Short Sleeved Thermal T-shirt has the traditional mock interlock fabric with the brushed inside to trap air and retain heat, keeping both your upper and lower body warm.

Suitsmen now also sell the same thermal t-shirt with the Morley label. Not only is this exactly the same item of clothing, but it is also the new rebranded name of Wolsey.

Now if short sleeves are not for you, and you want long sleeves under your shirt, Suitsmen also sell the Wolsey Long Sleeved Thermal Vest. This, again has the same features and fabric as the short sleeve versions, it just has a bit for cover for your arms.

Having all the thermals on will not stop the cold if your suit lets out the heat easily. We sell a range of heavy weighted suits, perfect for the colder climates and seasons.

The smart outer layers.

Our heaviest being around the 510g mark, this is ideal for the colder months.

Examples consist of the Torre Men’s Lounge Herringbone Suit.
This single breasted, two buttoned suit combines a classic and timeless feel, whilst keeping in the priceless heat.
It also comes with Teflon protected material, helping to keep your suit looking its best for longer.

We also have the Men’s Herringbone Morning Suit from Torre. This again is one of the 510g suits, not only ensuring warmth but comfort and sophistication with the one button jacket being made from 100% Wool.

It is also available in three colours, Navy Herringbone, Black Herringbone and Grey Herringbone. However, the grey only comes in a 420g weight.

The next weight down from 510g is 450g, with the Brook Taverner Morning Suit.
Made from 100% Pure New Wool, this one buttoned, double breasted tailcoat originates from the 19th Century.

Read on..." width="200" height="300" />

Warmth can be found in any suit, whether you are opting for one of the heavier weight jackets to keep out the cold chill, or are more of a thermals fan. You can find a suit to suit your need, with the accessories to go along with it, keeping you warm AND smart!

Winter Suits Some say that there has been an appalling trend lately, even amongst the so-called “upper classes.” That is the trend of adjusting ones entire style of dress to accommodate seasonal changes in the weather. The fact is that in business, or the better sorts of entertainment, a proper suit is the only appropriate and correct attire. A parka may be suitable as outer wear but sweatshirts and denim are not correct for the office or going out. A proper suit of clothes is the only choice.

Winter suits were generally made of wool and in dark colours. They would be completely lined with a sturdy material and sometimes used with a matching waistcoat to keep in the warmth. Waistcoats have fallen out of fashion with the advent of central heating and the adoption of continental style. They are still a good solution to keeping in the heat during cold weather, as they surround what the medical profession refers to as the “core.”

While there is really no good substitute for wool in a winter suit, dark colors could no longer be considered mandatory. Extremely light colours such as khaki are not appropriate to the colder months. Lighter shades of the primary colours are fashionably correct. Patterns and stripes should be, as at any season, subdued. Tweeds and similar patterns are permissible in a country setting but are really not appropriate business or evening wear in the city.

Fashion and fit change with each year just as styles and fabrics change with the seasons. The help of a good and knowledgeable salesperson can be invaluable in the choice of a new suit. The internet is also a good source of information. At our blog www.suitblog.co.uk we are building a wealth of invaluable information and advice as well as a source for the items themselves at www.SuitsMen.co.uk

Anyone from age the age of five to that of ninety five can enjoy the great accessibility of these musical performances, from students to business men and housewives to executives.

While there is no official dress code, it’s still important to look your best, and SuitsMen can certainly help you there! It would be unseemly to arrive for Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 in blue jeans and a ragged t-shirt! For the formal concerts, suitsmen offers many handsome options that will flatter gentleman. For jackets, there is a wide selection of black dinner jackets, white Tuxedos, as well less formal attire, such as double breasted blazers and such striking options as the Salisbury Wool Jacket. For shirts, suitsmen offers everything from wing collars to pleated fronts and double cuffs, in white, ivory and black.

No formal outfit is complete without a waistcoat, and the options available in this category are numerous as well. In addition, there is no limit to the selection of accessories. The John White Oxford shoe is particularly sharp, and the addition of cufflinks to any ensemble is a subtle but powerful statement about a man’s style.

There is also a selection of belts on sale to fit a variety of sizes, and all the trimmings to make a fashionable outfit complete. Any of these options would fit the 2009 Proms fantastically, and the range of music available this Summer is as varied as the selections on hand at www.suitsmen.co.uk.
